The flood outreach centres are a central point for the community to find information and support.
A flood outreach centre is operating at The Hub, 143 Gordon Street, seven days a week.
The Port Macquarie centre opens from 9am to 6pm weekdays and 9am to noon on weekends.
Another flood outreach centre is operating between 10am and 2pm on weekdays at the Laurieton School of the Arts Hall.
Port Macquarie-Hastings Council group manager community Lucilla Marshall said the focus was on providing what people needed from a service perspective.
"The intention is come and tell your story and let's see what we can do to help you," she said.
Ms Marshall said flood-affected residents would be able to find out what support they were entitled to and where the support was coming from.
"We are trying to be solutions-focused for those people as to what they need right now and then longer term what they need into the future," she said.
Government and non-government agencies are working together to assist flood-affected residents.
A range of information is available with experts drawn from organisations including the council and state government agencies, The Salvation Army, The Red Cross, Lifeline and headspace.
Ms Marshall said it was hoped people would seek out the centres but outreach would also be provided.
A mobile flood outreach centre will be at Telegraph Point Community Hall on Monday (March 29) from 11.30am to 2pm.
Teams can also connect people with the help they need by calling the hotline on 6581 8444.
