The 13-year-old Camden Haven High School student from Kew, is training for the NSW AB Amateur Boxing League under the guidance of Camden Haven Boxing Team coach James Beard.
Mr Beard said Cameron has been training for eight months, shown natural ability and determination to succeed.
"Anyone who knows Cam, knows that he's talented. He has a talent about him in footy and he's training really well before his first fight. He's quite sharp," Mr Beard said.
"He really could be a good boxer because he puts in a lot of work and is dedicated.
"He's showing great work ethic. It's great to see 13 to 14-year-old's not on their devices and dedicating themselves to one of the oldest martial arts in the world.
"He runs each morning and every day he is here training. Monday is pad work, Tuesdays are hill sprints, Wednesday is pads again, Thursday is strength conditioning and Friday we spar.
"This year he has two fights with one in April in Canberra and Queensland in November. He's also doing a NSW training camp in Sydney on February 13.
"The main thing is that he's out here training each day and goes home happy, fatigued and tired. He's working on small steps and he's not at home on his phone or ipad."
Cameron said he enjoys the fitness of boxing and watching the action of the UFC.
"I'm just training really hard and a bit nervous for the fights as well. I find boxing really fun and it's good for my health and stuff," he said.
"Originally my brother did boxing for about a year and I came down to have a look, I've done it ever since.
"It's tiring but it makes you feel good after you've done it. I think training down in Sydney is a good opportunity.
"I've always really liked Conor McGregor and watching the UFC. I'd like to do boxing as a job but that would be a lot of work. "
