Teachers admitted it was a "delightful" first week for the 28 kindergarten students.
"They make up two classes of 14 students each within an open classroom setting," Rhianna Hancock of the Kindergarten teaching team said.
"The students' success in transitioning so smoothly was a credit to both their parents and the Joeys Juniors program which was held during the later half of 2020.
"These inquisitive little people have already filled our school with their smiles, giggles and delightful questions."
St Joseph's Primary School, Wauchope, is a supportive and inclusive catholic school where all students are welcomed and belong.
