This was used as preparation for the NSW Junior State Cup to be played at Port Macquarie from February 19 to 21.
A total of 37 sides were involved in the gala and all were guaranteed at least three games. Ten divisions were played.
"We didn't keep a pointscore, the games were purely trials for the State Cup,'' Taree Touch president Graham Goodwin said.
"But everyone seemed happy with the day and the sides had a good hitout.''
The Northern Eagles Junior Championships, usually played in January, were cancelled this year while Taree sides weren't able to take part in the Hunter Junior Championships played at Nelson Bay.
"That's why we organised the gala,'' Mr Goodwin said.
Mr Goodwin said the NSW Junior State Cup will be played under strict COVID-19 protocols, with teams required to leave the fields once their commitments are finished.
