The conference was attended by over 500 National Party delegates from all over NSW.
The successful motions were:
- Pharmacists be authorised to prescribe short-term antibiotics for acute, uncomplicated urinary tract infections based on a treatment protocol.
- The Long Term Casual Occupation Act 2002 (NSW) be reviewed so as to set a limit fees increase as a means of inhibiting caravan park owners or managers from imposing unreasonable price hikes on temporary tenants.
A total of 50 motions ranging from drought assistance, rural health and education were also passionately debated at the conference.
The Port Macquarie State Electorate Council won the coveted Electorate Council of the year award.
The Award is judged on increases in membership, assistance to local branches and support for their local campaign and candidate.
"This year's winner works closely with their Nationals MP and local membership making sure The Nationals present a united front when campaigning and the results this year speak for themselves," outgoing Nationals Chair Bede Burke said.
