Port Macquarie Magpies have blown the premiership race wide open with a thrilling 17.6 (108) to 12.12 (84) win over the Coffs Harbour Breakers.

It now sees the two teams sitting level on points at the top of the ladder.
The Magpies led all the way but the Breakers were able to stay within one goal until the three quarter time break leaving the match on a knife edge going into the final term.
This is the point where the Magpies were finally able to get on top of the tiring and injury depleted Breakers line-up, kicking six goals to two to seal the 24-point win.
Coach Tom Marmo led Port from the front to kick four goals. Fraser Carroll and Kyle Bray each kicked three goals, with Kye Taylor and Hugo Walker adding two goals each.
For the Breakers, Shaydan Close continued his outstanding run of form with four goals. Brodee Hood with three and Ben Gibbeson with two were the only other multiple goal kickers.
Port's victory sees the teams locked at one head to head win apiece, however the fact that Port's win was achieved away from home is all the more telling.
The next time the two clubs face off will be in Port Macquarie and that will represent a great chance for the Magpies to get the leg up on the Breakers.
Meanwhile, the Magpies women held on to claim a 5.5 (35) to 5.2 (32) victory over the Breakers.
Port looked like they may have blown their chances early when Breakers held them goalless in the first term to claim a 10-point lead at the first break.
The Magpies fought back in the second stanza to reduce the deficit to four points, but history repeated itself in the third term as Breakers defended valiantly to not conceded a point whilst kicking one goal of their own.
This saw Breakers 10-point lead reinstated by three quarter time.
Port saved their best for last, producing a three goal final term to Breakers one goal, which saw them claim a narrow three point win in a top quality encounter.
Anishah Burnes was key to the Magpies scoring, booting four of the team's five goals, with Eli Abi-Saab the other contributor.
Breakers scoring was evenly shared with Katika Adams, Takiah Pizzi, Laura Young, Bree Pinnell, and Tarryn Arnold each kicking one.
