Swift's win with her 2022 release Midnights makes her the first artist in history to win the coveted award four times, surpassing Frank Sinatra, Stevie Wonder and Paul Simon who won three times each.
"For me the award is the work - all I want to do is keep doing this so thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to do what I love so much," she said, accepting the award on February 5.
"Mind blown. Thank you so much."
The pop superstar previously shocked the 2024 Grammy Awards ceremony by revealing a brand new album, The Tortured Poets Department, will be released on April 19, while accepting an award for best pop vocal album.
Meanwhile two decades after her first win, Australian pop star Kylie Minogue has scored her second Grammy Award for her hit Padam Padam.
Minogue's win came in the best pop dance recording category at the 2024 awards on February 5 (Sydney time), where she was nominated alongside fellow Aussie Troye Sivan.
The award was announced hours before the ceremony kicks off and Minogue reacted to the news dressed in a dressing gown in her hotel room.
It's 20 years since Minogue won a Grammy for Come Into My World, among six career nominations, but she soared back up the charts in 2023 after her catchy hit went viral on TikTok.
Meanwhile Sivan is a first-time nominee for his song Rush, inspired by nights spent partying in his hometown of Melbourne, and also picked up a nod for best music video.
Other Australians in the running included music producer Dom Dolla for best remixed recording with New Gold (Dom Dolla Remix), as well as guitarist Tommy Emmanuel, singer Montaigne and comedy music trio Tripod.
Only Tommy Emmanuel was successful, winning best arrangement, instrumental or A Cappella for Folsom Prison Blues alongside alongside The String Revolution.
Leading the nominations field are SZA with nine nods, Phoebe Bridgers, Serban Ghenea and Victoria Monet with seven each, and Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, boygenius, Jack Antonoff, Jon Batiste, Billie Eilish and Brandy Clark all with six nominations.
