Enfield registered an impressive two-wave combined score of 14.00 to comfortably take out her heat on Friday morning.
Fellow Port Macquarie surfer Evie Conway will take on Enfield in the semi-final on Saturday afternoon with conditions set to improve.
Conway snuck through to the next stage with a two-wave score of 6.00 after the ocean went quiet for large portions of her heat.
Contest director Wayne Hudson said that from early on Friday afternoon wave conditions started to pick up and the swell would continue to improve across the weekend.
"It picked up to about three foot and offshore from about 1pm (on Friday)," he said.
Alice Hodgson was arguably the most impressive performer in the under-14 girls division with a combined two-wave score of 16.00 largely due to a 9.25-point ride.
"The under-12 girls and under-14 girls had two heats that were on fire and they were throwing out eights and nines. The under-12s in particular were smoking," Hudson said.
"It blew a couple of the judges away and they were saying how the standard is really good for a couple of the divisions."
In total, 100 competitors will take to the water across the next couple of days with the under-16 and under-14 boys seeing the number one and two seeds from around the state in action.
"We've had no complaints from competitors and the wind being offshore is what you really want as a surfer," Hudson said.
