A man will appear in court today (Saturday, June 5) charged with a number of offences after officers from Mid North Coast Police District attended a brawl inside a fast food restaurant at Port Macquarie.

About 5.45pm on Thursday, June 3, police responded to reports of a brawl at a restaurant on Horton Street, Port Macquarie.
Police were told a 20-year-old man was involved in a verbal altercation with a 19-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman inside the restaurant.
The older man allegedly threw a number of punches towards the man and also allegedly threw a chair towards the woman, striking her in the head.
It will be alleged in court the man then grabbed a wallet and mobile phone belonging to the pair and left the restaurant.
Officers from Mid North Coast attended the restaurant and commenced an investigation.
About 3pm, Friday, June 4, officers attended a unit in Clarence Street, Port Macquarie and arrested a 20-year-old man.
He was taken to Port Macquarie Police Station and later charged with five offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, assault, affray and two counts of stealing.
He was refused bail and will appear before Port Macquarie Local today.
