They have already achieved that ahead of their clash with Wingham at Wingham on Saturday evening, but captain James Kelly admits there won't be any sigh of relief regardless of the result.
"If we win we can; that'd be five out of six wins away and we set ourselves a goal of four," he said.
A testing run of road trips could have seen the Sharks out of finals contention before the season even started, but they're now well positioned going into the second half of their campaign.
"We got used to the travel. It can work for or against you if you get too comfortable," Kelly said.
Port Macquarie have six regular first graders unavailable for the clash with the Tigers with Joel Anttilla, Scott Grant and Dylan Clark all injured.
Chris Piper is still serving a suspension and Ollie Nosworthy remains under a fitness cloud.
Kelly said the depth of the club had been highlighted with the team barely missing a beat regardless of the 17 they named each week.
"We haven't had a full team yet, we've had four or five out from round one and each week we've added injuries," he said.
"We'll only get stronger once we get everyone back."
Between now and September their only trip outside of the Hastings will be to Kempsey in mid-August.
The Sharks are circling.
