It was hard to argue with the description of Port Macquarie Magpies when it came to their 19.18 (132) to 2.1 (13) hammering of Sawtell-Toormina on May 22.

The Pies ran hot in the second and third quarters as coach Matt Clarke was left to watch from the sideline in awe as they kicked 14 majors to one.
Port were only behind on the scoreboard for a couple of minutes late in the first quarter before they clicked into gear, leading at every change.
Clarke said it was the result of players starting to trust one another after a slow start to the season.
"Our more senior guys are trusting those around them and they are getting that first option and it's just sexy to watch," he said.
"If they don't trust the person they're handballing it to then they're going to hold onto it and try and go themselves."
Braden Saggers kicked six goals while Jesse Schmidt and Jonathon Embling (three each) and Tom Dickson (two) contributed multiples.
While they received the plaudits on the scoreboard it was the performance of 17-year-old Harrison King that impressed the coach the most.
"Harrison is only a young guy and that was only his second game with us," Clarke said.
"He's 17 and you meet some guys who are timid with their voice, but he knows footy runs parallel to life and he knows more about who he is and he's more confident within himself.
"He was in the backline telling everyone where they needed to be going and not only that, he was backing up and running through guys.
"He was sensational."
Clarke was excited about the potential his side had and their ability to match it with the premiership contenders over time.
"By the end of the season we're going to iron all this out and it's going to be top notch for sure," he said.
