The Panthers ran out 20-6 victors against an understrength Sharks team who suffered their second defeat of the season from four starts.
Sharks junior rugby league secretary Jane Keegan said their under-14 Black side was the club's second in the under-14 division.
"They've been hit with a few injuries because of school footy but they've still shown up and got out and had a go," she said.
The Sharks have over 300 players registered who will pull on the black, white and blue in season 2021.
"We're about the same as last year; we've got 24 teams including girls league tag from under-6s up to under-16s," Keegan said.
"In the girls league tag we have teams in the under-12, under-14 and under-16s and have pretty strong sides in all our competitions."
Sawtell, Bowraville and Smithtown have all joined the Group 3 competition this season as the Group 2 competition only had three other teams.
"They've joined in with us to have a bit more of a competition," Keegan said.
