King Creek Smash Repairs and Automotive proprietor Terry Burn said a "reasonable accident" occurred at the intersection every six to eight weeks.
"Obviously when accidents happen, we are the first ones there, pretty well, if it's a weekday," he said.
Mr Burn said "your instincts kicked in" in those circumstances to help where possible.
Traffic builds up along King Creek Road at the intersection particularly during the school terms.
"It's ridiculous in the mornings," Mr Burn said.

Safety at the intersection has been a longstanding problem with population growth adding to the traffic congestion.
Port Macquarie MP Leslie Williams organised residents to meet with herself and Minister for Regional Transport and Roads Paul Toole on Wednesday (April 28).
Mr Toole said he had asked Transport for NSW to have a look at the options which could be considered to make the intersection safer.
He said the area had grown so it was important to look at options.
"We are very keen to see what the options are," Mr Toole said.
"It is an area that is tight [in terms of constraints] but we want to go away and see what can be delivered in that area."
Mrs Williams is supportive of the process in progress.
"It is simply not satisfactory to say just put a roundabout there or just put some lights there," she said.
"There is a process we need to go through. We do need to do some careful planning because we want to get the right solutions."
King Creek Road investigations are underway as a part of a broader review of Oxley Highway intersections on exhibition by Transport for NSW.
A petition to Port Macquarie-Hastings Council, presented at the April meeting, included 1000 signatories and follows a petition with 630 signatures recently tabled in parliament by Mrs Williams.
The council agreed to approach the Port Macquarie and Oxley MPs as a "matter of urgency".
