The final links in the continuous shared pathway between North Haven breakwall and Pilot Beach in the Camden Haven were originally slated for construction in July.
B2B president Penny Small said community campaigners are now waiting on a detailed survey report of the damage done by flooding.
"There is no infrastructure damage that we have been able to identify, obviously there is debris and sand around. We seem to have weathered the flood remarkably well," she said.
"Surveyors marks have been moved and that will need to be redone before we are shovel ready again.
"The remaining five sections needed were taped, marked and measured. They will need to be recalculated to outline where the path will actually go.
"The most important thing is that we are going to get this done."
A Port Macquarie-Hastings Council spokesperson said a section of path has been closed to members of the public after adjacent breakwall scour rock had been impacted.
"Council is working on damage assessment and prioritisation/scheduling of repair works across all flood impacts," the spokesman said in a statement provided to B2B.
"Areas of the path were inundated with flood waters, however the extent of impact was limited to debris on path which has been progressively cleaned up."
