Some $644,940 from the Crown Reserves Improvement Fund will be used to construct stall stables, toilets and office, and upgrade the switchboards and flood lighting at Port Macquarie Racecourse.

Port Macquarie MP Leslie Williams has announced more than $1.21 million for a range of improvement projects for Crown land reserves and community facilities in the region.

Mrs Williams said the funding is being provided by the NSW Government under its Crown Reserves Improvement Fund.

"It's fantastic to announce $1,214,264 has been secured for local projects this year under the Crown Reserves Improvement Fund program to maintain and upgrade local reserves as well as facilities located on them," Mrs Williams said.

"This funding will see infrastructure upgrades to reserves, sportsgrounds and the racecourse, as well as the maintenance of reserves through noxious weed control."

Minister for Water, Property and Housing Melinda Pavey said the state government is providing $51.7 million from the Crown Reserves Improvement Fund in 2021 to support 705 maintenance and upgrade projects on Crown reserves across the state.

"This year's fund has received a $40 million boost to support communities that have been impacted by bushfires and COVID-19, to fund infrastructure improvements and support jobs for local trades and materials suppliers," Mrs Pavey said.

"Protecting and enhancing Crown land reserves is essential for the wellbeing of communities and our environment, and to support recreation, tourism, business, and local economies."

Local projects being funded include:

- $644,940 to construct stall stables, toilets, office and upgrade the switchboards and flood lighting on the Port Macquarie Racecourse.

- $330,000 to construct a new accessible multi-purpose facility including accessible amenities, change rooms and meeting rooms and spectator areas on the Laurieton Sportsgrounds.

- $148,500 for erosion bank protection works at Blackmans Point.

- $50,541 to upgrade guttering, facias and water pump and repair electrical fixtures and appliances at the Camden Head Pilot Station.

- $17,580 to control weeds from Crowdy Beach headland to Harrington Lagoon.

- $9,440 to purchase two commercial dishwashers for the Johns River Community Hall and Recreation Reserve.

- $8,709 to upgrade the water tank and install signage to keep the community informed of events at the Moorland Recreation Reserve.

- $4,554 to replace fencing and connect electricity to the barbecue at the Hannam Vale Recreation Reserve.
