On January 23, the open men's team of Adam King and Adon Bentley of Port Macquarie teamed up with former Sydney Kings power forward Thomas Garlepp and Frenchman Franois D'Azemar.
The event was held on the outdoor courts at Centennial Parklands and featured over 92 teams with 368 players across five age groups ranging from under-12's to opens.
Each match was highly entertaining for players and spectators alike with a number of nailbitters across each division's grand final with the open men's decider going down to the wire.
The Grange defeated Sydney Supersonics 10-9 and Mr King said it was a hotly contested tournament.
"It was a fierce competition where the best of Sydney and our countryside battled it out to win," he said
The under-18 girls team of Jasmine King, Pippa Davis, Dacoda Martin and Hayley Eggleton qualified for the nationals after finishing runners up.
They were beaten 10-1 by Triple Threat.
"The girls only just missed in the grand final, but they get to have another crack at the winning team at nationals in April," Mr King said.
