The Port Macquarie resident celebrated her 90th birthday with family on Tuesday (November 24) followed by a birthday gathering the next day organised by the Port Macquarie Hastings U3A Photography Group.
"I can't believe I have been alive this long," Ms White said.
She counts the photography group members as friends, loves taking photos and credits computer literacy with keeping her brain active.
Ms White grew up on the South Coast, trained as a nurse at St Vincent's Hospital and had a 25-year marriage.
She has experienced city and farm life but has never milked a cow.
Ms White's career included district nursing around the Canterbury area and time as a nursing sister at the medical centre at police headquarters before studying psychotherapy and setting up a practice.
"I have just lived a very full life," Ms White said.
"I've had a lot of adventures - I've travelled a lot."
Ms White has four children, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She has called Port Macquarie home on and off for about 30 years.
