On Saturday, October 24 the Port Macquarie Shelter at 10 Karungi Crescent will hold an adoption day for animals looking for a new home.
Animals for adoption include cats and dogs.
The shelter cannot place animals on hold. You must come to the shelter on Saturday and it will be first-come, first-served, provided you meet adoption criteria.
If you have children aged under 15 years they must come with you on the day for a meet-and-greet.
If you are meeting a dog/puppy and you already have a dog/dogs they also need to come for a meet-and-greet before an adoption can take place.
Bring photo ID with you. You will need it to complete all the necessary paperwork.
Bring your patience. Adopting a furry friend takes time, so please allow plenty of time to meet the animals and to complete all necessary paperwork.
Profiles of animals available for adoption are on the RSPCA Port Macquarie Volunteer Branch Facebook.
You will be able to check any specific requirements for the animal you are interested in.
The shelter will be open from 10am to 3.30pm on Saturday.
