Matthew Furner, 29 of Aldavilla fronted the Port Macquarie Local Court on April 9, 2020.
Magistrate Georgina Darcy refused Furner bail and he remains in custody.
Furner is facing a total of 11 charges all relating to alleged incidents that took place on August 25, 2019.
No pleas were entered.
Furner was attending the hospital under the supervision of corrections officers.
Furner has been charged with, escaping lawful custody, assaulting an officer and common assault, stealing a car, two counts of larceny, entering lands, driving dangerously during a police pursuit, driving recklessly or dangerously, driving while disqualified and with false number plates.
Magistrate Darcy adjourned the case to the Port Macquarie Local Court on April 23, 2020.
