The students are now qualified as nurses, primary teachers and midwives.
University of Newcastle Vice-Chancellor, Professor Alex Zelinsky, said he was looking forward to what the graduates would bring to the local community.
"Graduation is an opportunity for us to all to celebrate the achievements of our students, and those students come from all walks of life," he said.
"I look forward to seeing what our students bring to their local communities, and I welcome them into our growing and inspiring global network of alumni."
