Emergency services were called to the blaze at Burrawan Drive at about 9.30am. They arrived to find residents attempting to control the fire with garden hoses.
Wauchope Fire and Rescue NSW acting captain Mark Platts said firefighters gained access through the driver's side window to fight the blaze.
The fire was brought under control in about 10 minutes.
Mr Platts said the fire caused extensive damage to the inside and front compartment of the vehicle. The fire also got up into the roof space.
Mr Platts said there was no threat to properties, as the vehicle was located about 15 metres away from the main house.
The owner of the motorhome is away in Queensland and the vehicle had been left with a family member.
Wauchope Fire and Rescue NSW, Wauchope NSW Rural Fire Service and Port Macquarie Fire and Rescue NSW crews attended the incident.
Mr Platts couldn't comment on the cause of the fire, or whether there was an investigation underway.
