Ian Thomson presented the framed photograph of his grandmother Fanny Elliot during the branch's 90th birthday celebrations.
Mrs Elliot was the branch's first and third president, spanning from 1929 to 1933 and 1935 to 1937 respectively.
The Port Macquarie CWA Branch 90th birthday celebrations attracted just over 50 people to Port City Bowling Club on Thursday, August 1.
Guest speaker Debbie Sommers from Port Macquarie Museum outlined the branch's history.
Life member Shirley Kilpatrick's membership of the branch has spanned 22 years.
"They are a very friendly group, which is great, and I am very thankful for the leaders that we have," she said.
Mrs Kilpatrick said the CWA did wonderful work and she enjoyed the craft component.
The CWA has been part of Mrs Kilpatrick's life since she was a teenager.
"I joined as a junior member in the Hamilton branch in Victoria," she said.
"When I first went, we used to travel by horse and gig to the meetings at Hamilton with my mother."
Port Macquarie CWA Branch president Colleen Carmody said the branch had thrived throughout its 90 years.
She said the CWA as an organisation had survived floods, droughts and governments.
The CWA tea rooms, which are open from 9am to noon on weekdays, provide the branch's source of funding.
The branch is always looking for volunteers to help out in the tea rooms and anyone interested should drop into the tea rooms in Horton Street.
