With only three rounds left before the semi-finals, Port Saints can't finish any lower than fourth so the focus now for coach Darrell Pascoe is seeing how high they can climb in the final three rounds.
It might be easier said than done as the club faces an injury crisis with up to six regular first graders unavailable for this Saturday's clash with last-placed Wauchope.
Saints ended a two-game winless run where they also didn't score a goal by banging in four against Camden Haven in a 4-0 win last weekend.
"It wasn't as clear cut as the scoreline would suggest," Pascoe said.
"They could have had a couple early on, but I was happy with our attack because we hadn't scored for a couple of games."
Pascoe was more concerned about getting through this week without losing any more players.
"I'd love to be able to get a full-strength team on the field," he said.
"We can't afford to lose many more players."
First grade kicks off at 3pm at Findlay Park.
