Hallinan and Broomby were recognised for the honours beside newly crowned lifesaver of the year, David Moor and club person of the year Sandra Slattery.
Club president Mick Lang said the life members are outstanding in every facet.
"Life membership of any organisation is a great honour and it isn't awarded lightly," said Mr Lang.
"It is recognition of exceptional and significant contribution to our club. The last life membership of this club was awarded in 2010."
Mr Hallinan joined the club in 1975 and held positions at the club including as an instructor, assessor, examiner, coach and competed at branch, country, state and national level.
He has also competed in the Coolangatta Gold.
Mr Broomby is a former four-year club president, the current club coach and director of surf sports, who has guided members through a pathways coaching program to state and national championships.
Tyse Thrower was one of those to compete at the state championships this season, winning a gold medal.
David Moore was congratulated as lifesaver of the year for his contributions to patrols this year.
Director of lifesaving Brent Wilkinson said Mr Moore had been putting in additional hours for the club.
"Dave Moore has not only achieved well over the normal amount of patrol hours he was rostered for," said Mr Wilkinson.
"He also ran the Friday and Sunday raffles for the club.
"As well as completing maintenance on the patrol van, quad bike, nipper and rescue boards to ensure they were in good working order for weekend patrols."
Club president Mick Lang said Sandra Slattery was an equally important member as this season's clubperson of the year.
"Sandra is the chairperson of the nippers," said Mr Lang.
"Not only did our nippers have a huge increase in membership and this was as a direct result of Sandra and her team.
"They were proactive in attending local schools and doing workshops to show teachers, parents and children the benefits of surf lifesaving.
"It is a fitting reward for all her hard work."
Greg Bennett and his wife, Maree of Bennett Surfboards were also recognised for their continued support and sponsorship of the club.
Tom Osbourne was declared athlete of the year, Luke Morris as master male athlete and female masters athlete was won by Raelene Myers.
Alyssa Slattery was acknowledged with the Jason Northey Memorial Trophy for cadet of the year.
Members commended her efforts as an all rounder who excels in every aspect of the club.
