Jaxson McHugh is looking forward to rubbing shoulders with the big names in tennis when he is a ballkid for the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Cup at Sydney in January 2020.

Jaxson was one of 15 ballkids who was at Kendall Tennis Club on Sunday, May 26 for the Northern NSW Ballkid Trials.
Kendall Tennis Club president Wendy Hudson is the coordinator for the program and said between six and 10 children will be picked for the Sydney International Ballkid program in January 2020.
Jaxson received the opportunity to rub shoulders with the world's best tennis players earlier this year, after being selected as a ballkid for the Fast4 competition.
Jaxson is 13-years-old and said he enjoys mentoring new ballkids.
Children travelled from as far north as Byron Bay and Newcastle in the south to be at the trials in Kendall on Sunday, May 26.
Wendy said it's the tenth year children from Kendall have made the Sydney International Ballkid program.
She said children don't have to be great tennis players to become a ballkid.
However she said it's important they learn how to score, have adequate fitness and are coordinated.
The children are judged on their service of players, ball rolling and coordination skills.
Wendy's son Ryan Hudson was a ballkid for years but has retired at the young age of 16-years-old.
Ryan is assisting Wendy with the ballkid program.
He said one of the major challenges with being a ballkid is maintaining concentration through the match.
Trials were also on at Dubbo, Bathurst and Sydney.
