Port Macquarie Lions Club presented $8000 to Endeavour Mental Health Recovery Clubhouse, $5000 to Marine Rescue Port Macquarie and $2000 to the Hastings Education Fund.
The money was raised from the Port Macquarie Lions Club duck race on April 21.
The club's treasurer, John Fulton, said they had a good relationship with Endeavour Clubhouse as they were neighbours at Hamilton Green.
"We have supported them before and we feel they are an organisation that is really worth supporting," he said.
Endeavour Mental Health Recovery Clubhouse chief executive officer Rob Moorehead reacted to the donation with absolute amazement.
He said Endeavour Clubhouse had a marvellous relationship with the Lions club.
The $8000 donation will be used for activities, health and wellness programs and mindfulness programs.
Mr Moorehead said he continued to be amazed by the community support for Endeavour Clubhouse.
Marine Rescue Port Macquarie, which had volunteers assisting during the duck race, also received a donation.
Mr Fulton said the club supported Marine Rescue Port Macquarie every year in recognition of its help.
Marine Rescue Port Macquarie unit commander Greg Davies said the unit was happy to support the duck race anyway but to get a $5000 donation absolutely floored them as they didn't expect to get that much money.
"For us, it's vital money because we are on a very tight budget," he said.
The donation came at the right time.
Marine Rescue Port Macquarie will put the $5000 donation towards the replacement of equipment lost during an emergency call out to a sinking boat between Crescent Head and Port Macquarie on April 14.
The Hastings Education Fund benefited with a $2000 donation.
Port Macquarie Lions Club president Ian Turner said the Hastings Education Fund was really important for needy students to access tertiary education.
He said the annual duck race raised a lot of money for local charities and it presented Lions to the community.
