The event included stalls, face painting, children's games and entertainment.
Open day coordinator Lynne Booth said the event raised money to continue the koala hospital's work.
"This is the major fundraiser for the year," she said.
The open day raised just over $12,000 after expenses.
Mrs Booth said the open day received fantastic support from businesses, the community and volunteers.
Supporters toured the koala hospital and enjoyed the activities and stalls which spilled out onto the lawn surrounding nearby Roto House.
"We are really grateful for National Parks and Roto House for lending us their facility," Mrs Booth said.
The event also boosted awareness about the koala hospital, which is dedicated to the care and conservation of wild koalas.
There were educational displays and talks by informative guides.
Tacking Point Lions Club members were in charge of the barbecue.
