The Port Macquarie men's 45s team triumphed at the competition in Coffs Harbour over the March 30 weekend.
Only a four-all draw with Central Coast could shake their resolve as the squad moved up the tables and blitzed Penrith, eight to two in the final.
Captain Brad Deegenaars said the Port Macquarie Oztag Association team went all out well as they ripped through the matches.
"We went through undefeated, apart from one draw with Central Coast," he said.
"Seems like our players come good at the right time, a few new guys in there made a difference.
"Everything seemed to just click."
Mr Deegenaars said it was a team effort evenly spread throughout the playing group.
"We knew we had a good showing and used it to finish at the top of the group pool, from there it was an easier run into the semi-final," he said.
"Not that any games are easy but it did benefit us to go straight into the finals.
"Peter Gleeson played well in the middle, he steered the ship all weekend by keeping control.
"But you couldn't put the finger on any one player who won it for us."
Port Macquarie had previously been defeated in the 2018 grand final at last year's Senior State Oztag Championships and won it the year before.
In the Women's Senior Cross Over division Port Macquarie thrashed Macarthur, ten tries to zero before defeating Central Coast, three-zero.
Unfortunately the team was defeated in extra time during the quarter finals against Ryde Eastwood, two to three.
