Craig McIntosh from Weatherzone said the weather in the Hastings is going to remain stagnant as many return to school and work.
“Today (Monday) we had a top of 31 degrees and that is setting the tone for the working week,” Mr McIntosh said.
“Sunny skies will continue all week with patches of cloud cover as the week goes on.
“Temperatures are expected to keep above 30 degrees until Thursday night and Friday when we might get rain in the Hastings.”
Mr McInstosh said there was the potential for up to 10mm of rain on Friday.
“There is a southerly wind change coming at the end of the week which will make things a bit cooler,” he said.
“It will give the waves a bit of a bump on Friday also but otherwise the swell is fairly mild.
“The rain may continue into the weekend and at this stage there is potential for a storm at some point over the weekend.”
