And you can forget about a drop in the northeasterly winds too.
Meteorologist with weatherzone Kim Westcott says the region will experience "more of the same weather" through to Sunday.
"The weather conditions are looking fantastic and much like the wonderful weather you have experienced over the last week or so," she said.
"It is pretty similar conditions.
"A slow moving high pressure system remains over the Tasman Sea, blocking that hot air over much of the area."
Wednesday's maximum will climb to 29 degrees with 30 degrees forecast for Thursday and Friday. Saturday will be 31 degrees while Sunday will be another degree hotter.
The minimum temperatures through to Sunday will varying between 19 degrees and 20 degrees.
The average long term minimum temperature for January is 18 degrees while the maximum is 28 degrees.
"So it is just above the average for minimum and maximum temperatures," she added.
The northeasterly winds will hang around all week and keep the humidity at the "pretty uncomfortable level", particularly in the mornings.
"The next chance of any kind of rain to start off the New Year will likely be around Monday and into Tuesday.
"The rain could be quite widespread and continue into Tuesday.
"At this early stage, the modelling suggests somewhere between 1-5mm but things could change."
Ms Westcott said the low pressure trough will bring a slight bit of cooling but does little to change the wind direction.
"The maximums could drop down to 28 degrees but it won't last too long before it heats up again," she added.
Out to sea, the northeasterly winds will continue and could become gusty up to 25 knots with seas looking to be 1 to 2 metres.
