The Port Macquarie parcel subcontractor is happy to assist, whether it’s helping the elderly to carry heavy parcels inside or retrieving dogs after they have escaped from a yard.
Brendan recently received a $100 gift card for outstanding customer service.
“I was surprised and grateful for sure,” he said.
Brendan clocks up about 83 kilometres a day delivering parcels to homes, businesses, schools and nursing homes in areas from Greenmeadows to Crestwood, Gore Street, Koala Street and Granite Street.
Not being office bound, working outside and making lots of new friends are among the perks of the job for Brendan who grew up in Wauchope and now lives in Port Macquarie.
The job keeps Brendan fit and active and brings him in contact with lots of people.
Brendan also enjoys chatting with the kids.
“I get them to carry parcels in for their parents,” he said.
“Mail is exciting when you’re a kid.”
Customers have even invited Brendan over for dinner.
Brendan, who has 13 years under his belt as a parcel subcontractor, has seen the volume of parcels increase with Christmas and Mother’s Day the peak parcel delivery times.
