PARENTS fear not for the upcoming school holiday break. There is plenty to see and do in Port Macquarie.
Perhaps most impressive will be Erth’s Prehistoric Aquarium at The Glasshouse.
Kids can dare to adventure to the bottom of the sea with one of the most exciting school holidays experiences.
Following the internationally loved and applauded show Erth's Dinosaur Zoo, the team at Erth have spent years scouring the seven seas, collecting playful prehistoric creatures of the deep in their giant aquarium.
Shows are on Tuesday July 4 at 6.30pm and Wednesday July 5 at 10.30am and 1pm
Tickets cost $35 adult, $25 Glasshouse Member, $30 concession, $25 child/youth or $100 family (2 adult, 2 children).
The Indoor Sports Stadium will hold fun days every week day of the holidays. Activities designed for kids aged five to 12, incorporating group and team sports along with colouring in and arts tables, jumping castles and a movie in a social and safe environment.
All registrations are to be done prior to the day by visiting www.portstadium.com.au.
Then you have the Port Macquarie Youth Hub on Horton Street. During the holidays, the hub will host a range of activities and excursions for kids of all ages from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
For more information and to register, visit their Facebook page, or contact Jayson Corr on 0418 664 537.
Other ideas for parents include taking the kids for a few games of bowling at Wave Bowl, located on Hastings River Drive. To book a lane, call 6583 2238.
There are also some great films out at Majestic Cinemas, including Cars 3, Despicable Me 3 and the new Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul. More information and sessions times are available at www.majesticcinemas.com.au or by phoning 6583 8400.
