There is no better place that Port Macquarie for a winter holiday and if you are lucky enough to live here, why not make the most of the school holidays and become a local tourist.
The temperate climate means there is no need to hibernate, just pack a jumper and head out to the great outdoors. You can enjoy the best of the attractions without the crowds that you would get at other times of the year.
Coastal Walks: Take in the historic sites, stunning coastal scenery, beaches and rainforest along Port Macquarie’s Coastal Walk. You can start at Town Beach, wind along the coast via Flagstaff, Rocky Beach lookout, Nobby’s Beach and Harry's lookout to Sea Acres. At this time of year, you may even see a whale.
Googik Track: Discover some of the area’s best kept natural secrets along the Googik Track at Lake Innes Nature Reserve, off Lake Road. Allow 3 hours for a 5.4-kilometre walk. You can run, walk, cycle or simply meander.
Your local club: Port City Bowling Club is so much more than just a Club. Surrounded by some of Port Macquarie's most iconic beaches, Port City overlooks both Oxley Oval and Oxley Beach and is just a short stroll from Town Beach.
Keep your kids entertained with our indoor and outdoor children's play areas, free face painting every Friday night and our kid’s movie night on Tuesday 11th July.
