With a new committee in place, including Vice President Noel Cleal, Secretary Lisa Hoffman, and Treasurer Matt Lester, Walsh is confident in the club's ability to bounce back from recent disappointments.
"We want to put the pride back in the jersey, that's our first and foremost goal," he said.
"We have always been a proud club, and it's been a bit embarrassing to see the team only win one or two games in the past few years.
"We thought that there was a bit of a disconnect between the club and the community, and we want to bring that back and reconnect with the town."
With a successful off-season behind them, the Blues are optimistic about the upcoming season.
New coach Beau White, a long-time member of the club, is expected to bring a fresh perspective and a strong sense of unity to the team.
"We think Beau has a great rapport with the players," Walsh said. "His ability to bring a group together is something that we thought was needed.
"We're setting the bar pretty high this season, but we think with the group that we've assembled, we're in with a chance to push for a semi-finals spot in first grade."
White, who is stepping into his first coaching role, is eager to guide the team through a rebuilding phase.
"We're hoping to get a few wins under our belt and try to bring in a heap of the younger fellas through and get the team set up for the next few years," he said.
With a strong focus on attitude and energy, White said the young players will play a crucial role in the team's success.
"My key to success is probably attitude and energy," he said. "That's where the young fellas will help out.
"It's a massive fresh start for us with a brand new committee, and I'm looking forward to the challenge."
