The popular event, hosted by the Westport Club is on Sunday, December 12. Gates to the Westport Park Foreshore will open to the community from 4.30pm and live entertainment will kick off from 6pm.
The Westport Club Community and Sport manager Jenny Edmunds said the event provides an opportunity for people to come together and enjoy the entertainment from artists, who have been waiting to showcase their musical talents.
"We are really excited to pull together an event for our community," she said.
"Our whole community has been through so much over the past couple of years, with natural disasters and the COVID pandemic.
"We want people to come down, enjoy our beautiful foreshore and just enjoy the festive season."
Fireworks will light up the Port Macquarie sky from 9pm and are set to evoke cheers of joy from all ages.
The sky show has been unable to go ahead for the past two years, due to bushfires in 2019 and the pandemic in 2020.
The Westport Club is proud the fireworks have been able to return in 2021.
"Our event always creates a magical atmosphere," Mrs Edmunds said.
"There's something special about fireworks with people seeing the sky light up with beautiful colours, shapes and sizes."
The special guest artist is country music star Gina Jeffreys.
Supporting artists include Angus Gill, Port Macquarie Performing Arts members, Max Jackson, Bryce Sainty, Emma Dykes and Theatre Oz Port Macquarie.
"We have a spectacular line up of entertainers who are busting to get out in the public space," Mrs Edmunds said.
The event is a fundraiser for Marine Rescue Port Macquarie, and volunteers from the organisation will also run a barbecue on the night.
Santa will drop in for a special visit to spread Christmas cheer to all the children.
NSW COVID-19 Public Health Orders will apply to the event, where people will require to show proof of their vaccination status on arrival.
Attendees are also required to book their $5 tickets online prior to the event, as they are unable to be purchased at the gate. Children under the age of five-years-old can attend for free.
