In keeping with its tradition of giving to charity at their end of year event, the Network is once again supporting Share the Dignity.
Identifying closely with the ethos of Share the Dignity's #ItsInTheBag initiative, attendees were invited to donate handbags filled with personal items for women in need. Through the donation of sanitary and personal hygiene products, small dignities make a big difference.
The generous donations will be gifted to local women for Christmas through charities such as Liberty Domestic and Family Violence Specialist Service.
Over the past four years, HBWN has donated over 200 handbags, all lovingly filled and bursting with items to support the cause.
"We are beyond grateful for the passion and enthusiasm our members and guests bring when supporting this initiative," said HBWN president Kelly King
"Our end of year celebration is a time to reflect, as well as look forward to exciting times ahead. There's no doubt 2021 has been difficult so now is the perfect time to get out into our community, support our local businesses, and assist women and children in need."
