The Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) is urging the community to get vaccinated and to keep coming forward for testing should they experience any symptoms, with eight new COVID-19 cases reported to 8pm yesterday (8 November).

Five cases are from the Kempsey local government area (LGA) and three are from Port Macquarie-Hastings LGA.

Four of the cases are household contacts of a confirmed case, three are linked to a known case or cluster and the source of the infection of one case is under investigation. All cases are isolating.
There have been 403 cases reported in the MNCLHD since the beginning of the current NSW outbreak.
There are currently 21 active cases in Nambucca Valley, 17 active cases in Coffs Harbour, 66 active cases in Kempsey and 78 active cases in the Port Macquarie-Hastings LGAs.
COVID-19 testing rates remain high across the Mid North Coast with 1,087 tests conducted yesterday including 531 at Port Macquarie, 332 at Coffs Harbour and 153 at Kempsey.

- East Kempsey Cemetery (graveyard service), Naiooka Street, South Kempsey. Exposure date - Wednesday 3 November 2021, 11am to 1pm. Health advice - get tested immediately. Self-isolate until you get a negative result.
- Local Liquor Macksville, 7 Cooper Street, Macksville. Exposure date - Wednesday 27 October 2021, 4:20pm to 4:35pm. Health advice - get tested immediately. Self-isolate until you get a negative result.
