The informal meet and greet will be hosted at Diamond Waters Caravan Park from 10am on Wednesday, November 10.
The event is designed to gather information and feedback to better support park permanent residents.
Dunbogan Caravan Park and Diamond Waters Caravan Park owner Cicely Sylow said after the March floods some of the permanent park residents needed help accessing support.
"We have emergency evacuation plans in place but we realised very quickly not all of our permanent residents were prepared for the disruption caused by bushfire and floods. In particular they were not mentally prepared for the event or aftermath," she said.
"Homes and lives of its elderly residents were at risk and many residents were making decisions in the face of the disaster event and not activating a pre-made plan.
"Our park operators found themselves providing critical support to a large cohort of residents during these times of emergency including co-ordinating access to government disaster payments, grants, volunteers and donations, to get them back on their feet as soon as possible.
"This need was particularly noticeable for those living with dementia and memory loss."
Development of a resource booklet and guide for supporting caravan park operators and vulnerable residents has been put forward by Diamond Waters Caravan Park operator Tammie Foster.
The booklet will assist with how to design a prepared business, include crucial local information and updated contacts for emergency planning, preparation, response and recovery.
The booklet was awarded a community grant by the Port Macquarie-Hastings Council with the support of the Edmund Barton Centre and the Dementia Friendly Community Alliance in Port Macquarie.
CHESS connect business resilience mentor and Dunbogan resident Jo Facey said operators are doing invaluable work for residents, staff and local community.
"It's been an absolute pleasure to work with Cicely and Tammie, we met by complete chance during the flood emergency," she said.
"Amidst mud, fire and rescue trucks, army personnel and chaos we connected through their evacuated residents and have kept in touch since."
Interested parties can RSVP by contacting Jo Facey on 0456 843 742 or Tammie Foster on 0428 186 443.
