The club tied with Total Tennis Mount Hutton at the awards night which recognises clubs, organisations and individuals in the New South Wales tennis community.
Kendall Tennis Club was a finalist in the same award.
Bonny Hills Tennis Club president Joan Evelyn, who has been club president for 17 years and a member for 28 years, said she was over the moon with the win.
"We probably had 50 members when I joined and in the last 12 months we have gone up to 211 members now. It's really gone mad," she said.
"It's a credit to Geoff and Janie who have really campaigned for the kids in the community. I do feel that during COVID people were drawn to tennis because it is a non-contact sport and a lot of locals returned to the club.
"We have never had a big junior membership until now because in the last 12 months there has been a big junior campaign.
"It was a nice surprise to see Kendall there as well because they are a pretty good club there too."
Ms Evelyn said the club will resurface its courts and replace fencing from November 28.
"It's going to be wonderful to have the courts resurfaced. Back in 2002 was the last time the courts were laid down and since then we we applied for these grants to create a revamped new tennis complex for everyone to enjoy. It's all systems go and looking forward to a new year of tennis," she said.
Club coach and vice president Geoff Carter said members are proud of what they have achieved over the last 12 months.
"We were very blessed to spend time with Wendy from Kendall Tennis Club and she was a mentor for us in building our coaching program," he said.
"It was bittersweet because even though we won, we were also hoping they'd win too.
"Tennis became a very popular exercise option this year because it could be played outdoors, was cheap and was allowable under the guidelines.
"Our annual visitation was about three times the benchmark for a two court facility in regional NSW, which we calculated at about 6000 visits for year.
"This has been a result of effort, our strategic plan and delivering on that plan."
