They face a tough task of knocking off highly-fancied Japan with a three-goal or more defeat set to end the Steelers' quest for three-straight Paralympic gold medals.
If they win, they progress to the semi-finals.
This comes after France upset Denmark 52-50 earlier on Friday. It means Australia, France and Denmark will battle it out for the remaining top two spot after Japan won their two previous pool matches.
For and against will determine who progresses.
Australia suffered a surprise 54-53 defeat to Denmark in their opening game on Wednesday before Japan beat France 53-51.
Australia bounced back with a 50-48 win over the French on day two while Japan beat Denmark 60-51.
"We still aren't 100 percent, but we are improving," Batt told the Port News following their win over France.
After a shock loss to Denmark, the Aussie team needed to win the last two pool matches to guarantee their spot in the next round.
"We played terrible," Batt said.
"We weren't ourselves and we were pretty embarrassed with how we played. [The win over France] was great for our confidence. We're happy with that win but we've got to fight even harder tomorrow against Japan."
