I congratulate Westside Medical Centre for taking on the council in regards to the council's ridiculous referendum concerning the addition of fluoride to our water supply.

I would encourage readers to take part in the Port News poll.
The council's referendum, due to be held in conjunction with the council elections in December is an absolute waste of our ratepayers' money since removing fluoride would be against the directive of NSW Health.
Our elected councillors should be listening to those people who they supposedly represent and to the advice of NSW Health.
Time for a total cleanout of the present council.
