Detective Chief Inspector Darren Jameson said there have been a number of instances where people have been deliberately ignoring the stay at home order.
"The vast majority of the community are complying with the current lockdown restrictions. However, there are people on the Mid North Coast who aren't taking it seriously and are putting the safety and wellbeing of others last," he said.
"They are simply not showing genuine care for the community."

Out of the 450 calls related to non-compliance across the Mid North Coast Police District, 24 infringement notices have been handed out for failing to comply with the Public Health Order.
"There have also been 10 legal actions taken. One person was issued with a court attendance notice and nine warnings have been issued to juveniles under the Young Offenders Act," Insp Jameson said.
"This is very concerning to me because we know how the Delta strain is impacting young people and teenagers.
"Parents and guardians should be lifting the education around the dangers of not complying with the health orders and the importance of wearing masks and practicing good hygiene."
Officers across the Mid North Coast will continue to target public spaces and are urging people to do the right thing.
"The police response here in our region will be in line with other areas of the state. We are in enforcement mode and we will be taking action if people are doing the wrong thing," Insp Jameson said.
Police will also be working with local councils to determine which public spaces are of concern during the lockdown.
"We will be targeting areas where the public are known to congregate."
Increased fines for Public Health Order breaches were introduced from 12.01am, Monday, August 16 and include:
- $5,000 on the spot fine for breaching self-isolation rules;
- $5,000 on the spot fine for lying on a permit (already a criminal offence);
- $5,000 on the spot fine for lying to a contact tracer (already a criminal offence);
- $3,000 on the spot fine for breaching the two person outdoor exercise/recreation rule; and
- $3,000 on the spot fine for breaching rules around entry into regional NSW for authorised work, inspecting real estate and travelling to your second home.
NSW police have also issued a strong warning to anyone planning to attend any unauthorised protests planned for this weekend that they will face the full force of the law.
"The order is to stay at home and an unauthorised protest is not an essential reason to leave your home," Insp Jameson said.
"Anyone thinking of attending a protest this weekend can expect action to be taken. It's not worth it."
