The new initiative during lockdown is called the library select delivery service.
It's as simple as filling out a form on the library's website and a librarian will hand pick a selection of items just for you.
The library will then contact you and organise contactless delivery to your door.
Members can end up a lucky dip of books in their favourite genre or they can be as specific as they like in their requests.
Library manager Jim Maguire said the library made the service available in a trial during the lockdown as the community could not come to the library.
"The thinking is to give people access to books to keep them going through this period because we realise how difficult it is," he said.
"There is the option to be quite specific or as general as you want."
Members can specify genres of interest and select items from magazines to DVDs, audiobooks, CDs, fiction and non-fiction.
Specific requests, such as nominating authors, can also be made. Up to 10 items can be requested.
The library select delivery service, only available during the lockdown period, is in addition to the library's online offerings.
The service is available to library members living in the Port Macquarie-Hastings local government area.
There will be regular deliveries in the Port Macquarie, Laurieton and Wauchope areas.
Libraries are closed during the COVID lockdown period.
