FOOTBALL Mid North Coast general manager Bruce Potter has confirmed the zone is looking for new temporary headquarters. The zone's office at Telegraph Point was badly damaged in March's flood and Mr Potter said there are no plans to return.
"We'd be throwing good money after bad,'' he said.
Football Mid North Coast chairman Mike Parsons previously said the damage bill from the flood was around $50,000 while there was extensive loss of equipment.
FMNC office staff are currently working from home and this is likely to be the case for some months.
"Luckily we were well prepared for this after covid last year,'' Mr Potter said.
"But we'll be looking for somewhere to base ourselves temporarily and this is likely to be in Port Macquarie.''
FMNC will be establishing a permanent base in Port Macquarie with the assistance of Port Macquarie-Hastings Council. However, Mr Potter said this could be two or three years away.
