Bookings are now open for this year's event which is one of more than 70 Mother's Day Classic local events occurring across Australia.
Participants can select to walk or run 5kms and get active for breast cancer research. But you'll have to get in quick, as this year's event is accepting online registrations only, and between now and midnight, Sunday, April 11 participants can register at special early bird pricing.
The Classic is in its sixth year in Port Macquarie raising vital funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation's research projects and supports the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute.
Volunteer and event organiser, Kylie Bulmer, is excited the community can be involved in the event again in 221.
"We're really looking forward to this year's event in Port Macquarie," Ms Bulmer said.
"We can't wait to get back to our home at Westport Park and paint this town pink again.
"With the recent flooding that impacted our community, it will also be our opportunity to add some colour to our foreshore and hopefully put a smile on many people's faces."
As a result of the hardships experienced across the region over the past few weeks, a special discount on the current entry price specifically for the Port Macquarie event is being offered.
"The MDC's early bird pricing actually ended during the week our community was tackling this flooding disaster," Ms Bulmer said.
"So many in our community missed out on registering for the event at the discounted prices. In recognition of our region's support of the Mother's Day Classic, the MDC team are offering a special discount for our Port Macquarie event between now and midnight, Sunday, April 11," said Kylie. "But there's only a few days that this pricing will be available, so I encourage people to get in quick."
When signing up online, use the code PortMacEarlyBirdThanksxx at the check-out to register at early bird pricing.
The Port Macquarie event is run by a team of volunteers and is backed by long-term local business sponsors The Westport Club and supporting partners HEM Property, Sovereign Hills Port Macquarie, and Phyx You Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation.
