Local seniors are encouraged to submit their creative works to the Seniors Stories Volume Seven Writing Competition.
We want to hear stories that remind us age is just a number, and I know seniors in our region have exceptional tales to tell.
This is a great way for people to recount life-changing moments. Seniors in the Greater Port Macquarie and Camden Haven no doubt have many a funny tale they've gathered in their lifetime. Use your imagination to spin a great yarn or remind us all of your life's work.
The NSW Seniors Card competition has been running since 2013 and is effective in uniting generations.
Sharing stories builds connections between young and old in our communities.
It's a way to recognise the valuable experiences of NSW seniors.
The NSW community is full of inspirational older people, who have stories worth sharing that can motivate, entertain and educate us all.
NSW Seniors Card and NSW Senior Savers Card members can apply until May 31, 2021. For details, visit: seniorscard.nsw.gov.au
Quality child care for all
Quality childcare information is now readily available at parents' and caregivers' fingertips with the launch of the NSW government's Early Childhood Education (ECE) Finder.
The new website will provide key information to help our young families make informed decisions and understand what to look for when choosing a care provider for their child.
It is so important to provide our young families with reliable and confident sources of information that families can trust.
I want families to know as much about their child care as possible, it's a big decision, and I am pleased the government is assisting our families.
The ECE Finder includeslong day care services, family day-care and NSW funded community preschools.
