The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance at 7.55am on Sunday morning (April 4) to carry out a urgent medical retrieval from Port Macquarie Hospital.
Hospital staff and the John Hunter Hospital Medical Retrieval Team treated and stabilised the man who is suffering a serious multiple trauma following a motorbike accident on Saturday night.
The accident occurred at the Dahlsford roundabout on Ocean Drive in Port Macquarie
The rider sustained back, chest and lower leg injuries.
He was flown to Newcastle in a serious condition for further specialist medical treatment.
