Wauchope travelled to Kempsey, with the knowledge an upset win will send them into the grand final.
The winner's opponents would be Port Pirates, after their match against Wingham was declared a wash-out for two grounds on Friday night.
Rovers won the toss and elected to bat with openers Brett Hutley (22) and Jarrod Prosper (39) setting a solid platform.
However, 2/73 became 5/85 in a matter of minutes.
Skipper Jackson Korn (17) and Harrison Nemme (19) staged a mini fightback before their side was bowled out for 141.
Young quicks Cooper Petterson and Nemme put in an outstanding new-ball performance to kick off the second innings.
Petterson dismissed Quinn Pares with the fourth ball before Nemme went bang with his first delivery.
This wicket was the first sign of emotion.
The dismissed batsman, Nathan Lyon, edged the ball to second slip in a contentious 50/50 call.
However, his reaction gives him a slim chance of playing in the decider next week with abuse hurled towards umpires.
The fifth over saw a beautiful line and length delivery by Cooper Petterson have Lindsay Hooper caught behind at 3/19.
3/19 became 4/20 as a Nemme thunderbolt skittled Riley Mallyon.
Wauchope weren't done.
Captain Darren Bourke and all-rounder Matt Miller got to work.
The two combined for a 93-run partnership that turned the game on its head.
Last week's hero, Josh Brenton, managed to dismiss Miller with a low full-toss caught at mid-on and it looked like game on at 5/113.
However, Jack Sanmugarasa, with wrists like M.S. Dhoni, and Bourke continued to score as Wauchope reached the target in 25.3 overs to pull off an almighty upset win.
The reaction from Rovers was raw, with disappointment on faces, coupled by a few tears after a season where the side only suffered one defeat.
The win for Wauchope is a nod to the strength of the competition, proving that any side can beat anyone on their day.
Rovers had previously only lost one match while Wauchope finished fourth.
