An 18-month-old boy has been pulled unconscious from the surf at Diamond Head, south of Port Macquarie.

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was called to Diamond Head at 2pm on January 14 following the rescue, according to the Northern NSW Helicopter Rescue Service.
The boy was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics and the Helicopter Critical Care Medical Team for post immersion before being stabilised.
The boy was conscious and breathing in a stable condition while being airlifted with an adult to the John Hunter Hospital for further treatment.
