The Hastings River at Settlement Point peaked below the minor flood level on Wednesday, December 16 after five solid days of rain across the region.
Some of the heaviest falls occurred to the west at Mundays Lane 197mm, Maria River 195mm, Mount Seaview 153mm, Wauchope 157mm, Telegraph Point 130mm, and Port Macquarie Dam 120mm, and Comboyne 116mm.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy, locally intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours.
Meanwhile, no further flooding is expected in the Hastings River, according to the State Emergency Service (SES).
The Hastings River at Settlement Point peaked at 0.99 metres below the minor flood level around 11am and is currently at 0.87 metres and falling.
The Camden Haven River at Laurieton also peaked below the minor flood level and no further flooding is expected.
The Camden Haven River at Laurieton peaked at 0.95 metres around 10am and is currently at 0.94 metres and falling.
